Gibby, before buying anything put a volt meter on your battery and check the 
voltage with the bike running.  A good battery will measure from 12.4 to 12.65 
after sitting overnight without a load on (engine not running). With the engine 
running the volts should go up as high as 14.2 at about  4k rpms. If it 
measures below 13 you may have a poor ground or a charging problem as you were 
diagnosed.
