If a regulator/rectifier is needed, check out Electrosport. http://www.electrosport.com/street-bikes/regulators-rectifiers I replaced the regulator/rectifier on my ‘84 CB650SC Nighthawk several years ago and the beginning to charge point dropped from 2500 RPM to about 1700 RPM. They also have added protective circuits to keep from destroying the stator if the regulator/rectifier fails. I am extremely happy with it. It cost about $80 then. It was under 12 at idle and would break even at 12 with anything past 2.5k rpms but wouldn't start charging even at 4k. Gonna test the rectifier and the stator ASAP to see if its only a problem with one of them or both before I do anything. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
