I'm good for between 16K and 20K per year. You need to ride more Graham.

47,000 miles in three years, starter motor is probably like new because you 
must have never shut the bike down.  Better than 20k of intermittent short 
trips and why it still ran good after 61k.  Congratulations on proving how long 
a Honda will last if ridden regularly and well maintained.  My '85 650 has the 
same cam chain rattle,  Graham
