Advice: Before storing for more than 21 days: Drain fuel from tank, lines, carbs. Fog inside of tank with PB Blast, WD40, or other light oil. Replace fuel filter and get all of the fuel out of lines. Burn it in car, truck, or other moto. It takes 15 minutes tops.
When going to start after storage, fill tank all the way up to top. Siphon off the top to remove oil residue from before storage. (I use a turkey baster) Open carb drains (cloth under to protect engine) & turn on petcock. The open drains allow fuel to flush any residues or debris out of the needle and seats. You only need to do this for a moment, so immediately close petcock again, seal carb drains, reopen petcock and you are ready to ride! Sent from Yahoo!
