1. Could be fuel, air, or spark. Rule out mice in the airbox, make sure you get blue sparks on all plugs. Then clean carbs. 2. Carbs are aluminum/zinc alloy, very easy to strip threads. Brake cleaner strips paint well. Try some PB Blaster on the bowl screws after removing any paint. 3. fork seals are easy, tire changes not so much. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

I've heard of a process called electrolysis that some people have used to clean the inside of their motorcycle gas tanks for removing rust, does any one know if that would be used to help loosen the spray paint that has been on their for years? I have dumped the carbs in a bucket gasoline for 24 hours and let it sit scrubbed them but i noticed i wasnt getting anywhere to get the paint off. Also the screws seem to want to strip if i try to loosen them. Some people have suggested paint thinner which ive tried with the same result. 3. Fork seals and Front tire need replaced, (which ive figured thats shop requirements there). Any suggestions would be greatful because i do not want to miss out on another riding season, 3 seasons is long enough.
