Ok, if you pop start it in 2nd or 3rd gear it will work better. When you were working did you remove the battery? If so the reason you have a click and no starter is probably because of a bad battery connection. The click is the starter selenoid, so if that is working then the main positive or ground cable isn't proving the amps to run the starter. Also check your fuses just in case. Once you get the starter working again then if it won't start re-post and we can go from there. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

Hello, everyone! Today I decided to try and clean my 1996 Nighthawk CB250's carburetor, despite the fact that I have very little mechanical experience. I also decided to do this completely blind and not look up instructions on the internet beforehand, so I just started taking things apart. Long story short, I took apart a lot of things I probably didn't need to, and now the bike won't start. When I press the ignition button, it gives a clicking noise from under the seat, and trying to push start the bike only results in the rear wheel locking up and skidding, though the rear wheel moves freely when in neutral or with the clutch pulled in. Any ideas as to what I did wrong and if I can fix it? Thanks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
