If I'm wrong than simply answer one question. Name one measurable quality that any HD product has superior design over any Japanese product? Japanese bikes are more powerful, get better gas mileage, last longer without the need to rebuild, handle better, stop faster, are more reliable, are more cost effective to buy and own. Heck if not for Japanese components a HD would be just a frame, and a non running engine. I have had far more Japanese bikes than anything else. ive even had more british bikes than Harleys. its not about the bike, its about the ride. that being said, to the point of hd being inferior, how many 1919 Honda are still in existence? how many 1919 hds? far more. old cast iron Harleys were made for longevity, that's why they become heirlooms passed from father to son. that's the appeal of a Harley. I told my wife, one day we should get own one of those. She said I was crazy (she doesn't really like them), and then asked my way.
