Changed oil a month ago. I used Castrol 10w40 because, I believe that was in in previously. Poor bike howled about. I had lifter clatter upon start up after setting overnight. I also have a 4th & 5th gear whine. Makes for an interesting gear indicator. Last weekend I changed the oil & not the filter to Shell rotela-t 15w40. The whine was decreased but still had issues with lifter noise. In addition, with either oil the tranny would clunk into gear. I usually put the bike in neutral for stop lights. When I would pull the clutch & shift to 1st, what a clatter. This weekend is added Lucas o treatment. The morning clatter & shifting issues have disappeared. I still have some gear whine but not as bad as before.
