On my commute in today the CB1100 came up next to me so I dropped in behind
him.

At a light I scooted up next to him for a close look.

Very cool old school bike. I was amazed at how much it looks like a 79 to
82 CB650 or CB900. The fenders, turn signals, mirrors and even the tail
light looked so much like my 82 650 it amazed me. Even the tank shape was
very similar. The dual front disc brakes are clearly there to make it look
like the CB900. With brakes today you really don't need two for that
bike. The bike even looked smaller than my 96 750, closer to the size of
my 92 650. The guy riding the bike is short, his couldn't flat foot at the
stop light, so he might have lowered it.

When I'm on the big island this December I'm going to stop by the only shop
in Hawaii that has them for a really close look. Bottom line - Its a cool
bike but I'd have too look at other options before buying it. They're
clearly marketing to people between 45 and 60 who rode bikes in the past
and current NightHawk owners looking for new bikes.
