Well the OP did say he is handy and has tools to do maintenance work. I was
trying to encourage him to take on a project. Because really it isn't as
hard as most people think. And these old bikes are very robust and
dependable once you get caught up on the maintenance. Also they are more
simple and cost effective to maintain than a newer water cooled bike. At
least that is my oppinion.
