I am currently restoring an 84 750 and I do know my way around small engines but motorcycles are new to me in everyway. So my questions may appear simple but I rreally don't waant to mess this up >So I'd rather ask and appear dumb that be wrong I have enclosed a couple of pictures and my problem is I don't know which tubes go where on the pet cock and I seem to have an extra one that i need some help with There are two hoses that go down to the middle of each carb set and I assume these are the main gas feeds from the larger nozzle on the petcock. Then there is the vacuum tube but don't know whcih nozzle to hook it up to....the lower small one or the upper small one. Then there is the biggger hose that goes to the carb as well. That is the one that is the mystery to me and it shouldn't go on the unused smaller nozzle as the hose is three times the size of the nozzle so I weould really love it it if someone could give em a concise 'mapping' of how to hook the tank back up. I got i nthe bike wioth the tank disconnected and I have not found a clear picture of the hook up anywhere on line. Help would be greatly appreciated and If anyone can direct me to a site that has a Hanes manual or something similar I would be equally in his or her debt. Thanks so much, Ross in Vancouver Canada I stuck white pipecleaner in each of the hoses to make them more visible... from the top this is what I assume is one of the gas leads going into the right hand carbs The next one down is what I assume id the vacuum hose that should go to one of the smaller nozzles The third one (with the white loop coming out of it ) is the one I can't figure out at all. It comes from the carb but I don't know what or where it should hook up to... and the last one is the other gas feed I assume that goes into the other carb set. I must assume that these two will have to be joined up some how to go into the one nozzle on the PC?? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
