I have tried – really hard – not to respond to this subject line ,
but............ succumbing to temptation is one of life’s greatest
satisfactions. (See further examples below!)
Pet: noun: “any domesticated or tamed animal that is kept as a companion and
cared for affectionately.”
Pet: verb: To pet is “to rub, pat or touch something or someone with affection”.
Cock: noun: Male chicken or rooster, or valve, or ......???...........
Cock: verb: To cock is defined as “to tilt or raise to an upright position” as
in a cat or dog raising it’s ears
Pet cock: could be a male chicken that you are affectionate
toward........(Affection toward sheep is a different definition)
Pet cock: something you tried to convince your girl friend had to be done to
relieve “distress”,
or in her absence you participated in yourself.
Petcock: (one word) (Pressure Equalization Tap) is a small valve used to
control the flow of liquid or gas
Just further evidence of Paul’s statement: “And threads like this make me love
this group... not big on politics, but
the fact that we have some VERY smart people here that can use actual knowledge
and scientific evidence to prove or disprove a point.
