I saw the electric bike on a news segment. It was pretty fast, quiet & had
about a 100 mile range. I'm glad they're doing something to enter the new
millennium rather than continuing the antique technology on the regular bikes.
'Motorcyclist' magazine wasn't too impressed with the workmanship on the test
bikes. (500 & 750)
We have a Harley factory here in York Pa. When there are cycle events it's
pretty much all Harleys. I've never expressed my dislike for them to avoid any
conflicts with the macho majority.

I saw these when they were given to drivers ed classes, so Kurt is probably
right on. They don't look too bad, but they just have some funky exhausts. The
Safety bikes had orange in weird places (on 25% of body) and looked Halloween
gawky with orange and black. I bet that turned of the young (and older) riders
(too.) HD is trying electric bikes and new midsize bikes: good for them, change
is good. I'm not sure who is number one in USA, HD or Honda (bikes or dollars
either one.) But HD looks like its trying to play catch up on technology
compared to last century.
