Tommy is correct hold it a 5k rpm and see what you get it should be around
14.7. To test a stator check resistance between all yellow leads it should
be consistent. Also check for continuity to ground there should be NONE. If
either test fails replace the part. For the R/R you can only test the
diodes in the rectifier portion. Hook the red lead from you meter to a
yellow wire and the black to either the red or black wire on the R/R you
should get continuity on one and none on the other. Test all yellow leads
this way. Then flip your test leads and check in reverse direction your
results should be opposite. If any ohm ratings are off by much then replace
the R/R. That bike might also have a charging rotor and brushes. I hate
these Honda charging systems as they are overly complex and when something
fails you usually end up replacing all of the components. Because the bad
parts fry the good ones.
