These guys know more than I, but the NH 750 is notorious for a short with
lights going out after start up randomly (from rain mostly I guess); and it
was hard to figure out between the ignition, the light, or another switch.
Each switch was over $50 plus labor, so that was bad timing for a starving
student. Another forum suggested ACF-50, a hight tech aerospace spray for
electronics with similar problems, but it said you have to take the switch
apart first.

BS, for $25 with shipping, I got a big spray can and tried it without
taking it apart first. Sure enough within a couple of days, it seeped
through and worked like new since. My ignition is sticking a little now, so
I still have a big 13 oz spray can left (when I find it) and I already know
what to do. The spray lubricates by seeping in switch and puts a protective
coat on all terminals and circuit board, and even hinge joints. Rain and
Sun will ruin any switch eventually (over 20 years!) without a similar
liquid tool. Same problem, different bike models, but it is a fail-safe
first shot try with anything electronics problems. It has a big following,
and I see why: it works! The first time it works, it pays for itself.
