A little earlier this year, I called a guy and backed out of a deal on a 94
Magna I had looked at and promised to buy. The deal was $1000, and I could
have turned it around for $2000-2500 easy. Why did I get cold feet? Wife
said I had "too many motorcycles" and "Is this just for money?" I've been
kicking myself in the @$$ ever since. Went out to HD, got some lumber,
built a lean-to off my privacy fence, and now I've got an extra 64 sq ft of
empty space in my garage.

Turns out, totally unrelated, that my favorite Memphis bluesman is playing
in Greer this Saturday night, and I'm up for going. Check the bike out for
me, put a retainer on it if we agree it checks out, and I'll pull the
trailer up there on Saturday to pick it up. Or you buy it, have him sign
off on the title but leave the buyer's name blank, and take it home. Are we
on? Chances are it will be gone by Saturday, though, if there is a "story"
behind the bike. The one unrevealing picture could be hiding a litany of
sins...but maybe not.
