I put a 17 on my '92 750 & I like it. It is similar to having a 6th gear. Rear 
is a 38, which I believe is stock.

Javier, in checking my log book I see I put a 16-tooth front sprocket from PBI 
on at 26,212 miles, and I liked the change so much I went to a 17-tooth from JT 
Sprockets at 29,436. At 29,436 I also put a Sunstar 38T rear sprocket and a 
DID525VX 110-link masterless O-ring chain. This was the setup I rode to San 
Fran and back last May, and, as I posted the other day, she's got over 40K 
miles on her now, so almost 11,000 miles on the setup. So far, I'm very 
satisfied. The DID525VX is not cheap, and I had to pay to have it installed, 
but it does not stretch. I think I rode all the way home with my wife on the 
back and never had to tighten the chain. 

As I think I've said before, the 17-tooth front sprocket is the way to go, 
IMHO. I used to find myself constantly reaching for 6th gear, but not anymore. 
RPMs are lower, gas economy is better, and it feels peppier since I don't weigh 
that much to bog her down. 

I don't know what you've got on your bike now, but I've still got that 16T 
sprocket here with 3K miles on it. I won't be going back to it, so if you are 
still at 15T and want to try 16T as an experiment, I could send it to you.

Oh, and the 16T is for the front. Keep that in mind!
