I was out for a drive last night and had some unsettling sounds coming from my bike. When I go from higher gears to low, at stoplights and whatnot, I can hear some clacking and one time it was shaking bad enough to scare me into cutting it off and checking the oil...At one point it didn't want to go into first gear. I would say I heard this clacking sound about have the time I came to a rolling stop. It happens with the clutch disengaged. What is going on? Note: the day before yesterday I turned my idle screw up/in because it was shutting off at the stoplights. I turned it many (maybe 6) times and it only changed the RPM a little bit, but last night it was suddenly idling way too high and I had to turn it down. I don't know yet if that fixed the above problem because I turned into home a couple minutes later.
