So I've been wondering if there isn't something else more comfortable for
long trips than Ol' Yeller, and I went out to the local stealership today
to have a look around. I found a used GL1800 (2012) sitting there and I
threw a leg over, first time in my life. Didn't feel that heavy or
anything, though we all know it is.

The salesman suggested I take it out, and I rode it for a half hour or so.
Wow, I never thought I could feel comfortable on something that big, but it
was great. The only thing is I immediately started looking for a way to
stretch my legs, and the lower fairing was right there in front of my
foot. But I see there are highway pegs available; just don't know how
they'd feel.

I know you guys had mentioned GWs before, and I just thought they were out
of the question, but I changed my mind today. I feel like the heavens
opened before me.
