Right on as far as using the trip meter. I start looking at 90, and switch  
to reserve at 100, this saves me from possibly having it start to sputter 
at the  wrong time.

Always  reset the trip odometer. Start looking for gas at 100 miles. At 120 
miles look  harder!  Run in the ON position and reserve when/if it quits 
and REALLY  look for gas!
