I know this is a simple thing and a lot of you probably already know it... but the last time I pulled the carbs on my CB450, I found that leaving a hot work light shining on the boots for a few minutes first made them more pliable and FAR easier to get on and off without cracking. Definitely made my day better, so I figured I'd pass it on.
