Thanks. I can't help but think that a polish polka would work better in MN
and WI than a cajun French version of Jambalaya, but that is what I was
listening to on my Kie, so I works for me. The bluegrass was recorded live
right here at Everett's Music Barn in Suwanee, one of my favorite haunts.

I've upped the front sprocket in steps from a 15 to a 16 to a 17 (rear the
same at 38T), and let me tell you I could never go back. The only thing is
that the guide on the swingarm is no longer a valid measure of when the
chain is stretched. I tried to get two runs to the West Coast out of the
same chain, but it didn't work. The chain was shot by Denver, and having a
shop put a new one on (pictured) ran me a bundle. Plus they ended up just
putting it on over the old sprockets, which I got away with, but I know the
life of the new chain has been compromised.

I did buy another 17T front sprocket and had it shipped to Seattle, but I
haven't put it on yet. If you'd like the current 17T front sprocket just to
try it out and see if you like it, you're welcome to it. My bet is that
you'll like it. I cruise at about 4K at highway speed now, so I find myself
reaching for 6th gear much less often.
