I had a slight wobble on decel from about 45 to 35 mph when coasting with hands off bars. I replaced my steering stem bearings and it has since gone away. I didn't have any notchiness in my bearings at all but they were disgusting when I pulled the stem apart. 35 year old grease is basically peanut butter. Check all balls out. I think I got my set off eBay for 30 bucks. It's a bit of an intensive job but get a shop manual and it's more than possible. I'd never worked on bikes before and got it done in a few hours. Try raising the front wheel off the ground, put block under the muffler or sit as far back as you can on the seat with the bike on the center stand. Slowly push the bars back and forth. If the handle bars notch in the middle you need new bearings for sure. Otherwise I'd put it on the to do list for the winter.
