I know hands off bars is not a recommended way to ride, and I don't.
However, I do find on my 86 700sc that hands off (briefly) at any speeds
from 20-60mph and I get some serious tank slapping front wheel wobble.
Nothing noticeable when driving hands on, but cornering doesn't feel quite
right. The previous owner has fitted a fork brace so Lord knows what it
would be like without it. Checking the balance of the rear wheel has been
suggested and I've yet to try that but any input from folks who might know,
or have experienced this, always appreciated. Thanks much.
