The contacts slide into the plastic molex and clip in. With a tiny
screwdriver, good eyes, and some patience you can depress that clip and
pull on the wire to slide the contact out. Then you'll notice that the
contact is basically one long piece of metal wrapped around and bent into
two curls. The metal bars in the fuse block fit between those two curls and
that's what makes the circuit. When there's an air gap between the contacts
you get an arc and that's what melts the plastic and causes things to
flicker on and off. So with the contact out of the molex, slip a
screwdriver in from the side of the curls and pry the curls out so they
touch each other again. That way when the metal bar in the fuse block is
forced between them it will create a snug connection.
Also, pick up a can of electric degreaser and a can of dielectric grease
from an autoparts store. Use the degreaser and some fine sandpaper to clean
all of the contacts up and make sure they're shiny and not tarnished or
burnt. After you've reassembled everything smear a layer of the dielectric
grease on all of the exposed connections and that will keep the humidity
and contaminates out.
