Chain maintenance is no big deal, honestly. Get a good quality chain and
sprockets, check on it occasionally.

If you have a center stand it's easy to run the chain through a brush and
reapply a coating of lube. Takes me longer to put the bike on the stand
than it does to clean/lube it.

You'll likely adjust it a couple times in the beginning few months, then
find that it doesn't need touching for a long time.
