Brian, I run my idle at about 1200-1250, it seems to sync well when clutching and because mine is cold blooded anyway, it just seems to be my right setting.
Look for a BLACK knob (toothed) center back of the Carburetor area.... Very hard to reach, I used a Flat Blade Screwdriver and very carefully used it to increment the Knob to the desired RPM.
