Needle, not the cable. Yes! Cocktail sword, flattened on the back to fit over and a spot of glue. Did that to mine and works perfectly. Just notice the alignment mark when you glue it, let it dry, then ease over the bottom peg. Don't remove the metal tab, just gently file (drimmel) the old speedo needle off. Trust me, the black cap won't come off with out breaking the tiny tabs on back.
