It depends a bit on your riding style. If you ride "aggressively" you will want a sporty tire, which provide lots of grip but they wear fast! Otherwise, if your riding is more "normal" I will always recommend sport-touring tires. I have used the Bridgstone Battlax 023T (I think, they keep changing) on my NH750 and they were great. More recently I have changed to the Michelin's sport pilot on both the cbr1000f and the Concours, and I like them *a lot*. With the sport touring you still get lots of grip with a very decent millage.
