My recommendation depends on what you ride (Nighthawk 250, 450, 650, 750,
etc.). I might be willing to try cheap tires on a 250 that I wouldn't try
with my 750, but only because I've seen cheap tires on 250s in action in
MSF courses, and with my fat ass, I doubt a 250 would move very fast, and
with spoke wheels, they would have inner tubes anyway, making them harder
to puncture.

On my nighthawk 750, I've used nothing but the OEM Dunlop K505 tires. The
only thing I don't like about them is that I wear out the rear tire in
about nine months, so it feels like I'm always buying tires.

Someone once recommended Dunlop RoadSmart II sport touring tires for the
Nighthawk 750, but if I'm going to switch tire types, I'm going to change
both, not just one, and I haven't gotten around to it yet. The rear tire
is not available in the proper size (140/70H-17), but the RoadSmart II at
150/70ZR-17 should fit.

Based on Javier's suggestion, I might also consider Battlax Sport Touring
T30 Evo Tires. Like the RoadSmart II tires I mentioned above, you probably
have to step up in width size from 140mm to 150mm on the rear tire to use
sport touring tires, but like I said, they should fit.
