Yup, found some evidence of rust in the tank. The metal inside that I can see is barely stained. I suspect the rust that was mobile got sucked into the carbs. I took the tank off and shook it and no more apparent loose rust is coming out with the fuel. Any advise on cleaning the tank any better other than shaking around some fuel inside?
