The Candy Glory Red required the base, topcoat, and clear coat system. The silver-gray bottom 1/2 of the PC800 did not. They offered a clear coat with it, but I just went with Rustoleum clear coat from Walmart. If I were painting the tank area around the gas cap, I would spend the money for the clear coat with hardener.
After I realized the color difference, I feathered the paint near the edges so that the edge to edge color was the original.
