You will probably have to settle for putting some "throwover" soft bags on 
it. You can also put stuff on the back seat with a net and bungees. A tank 
bag can also hold a lot. After that, it's a backpack. I'm trolling 
craigslist for a new bike these days myself, and I know it's a lot easier 
to buy it set up with the stuff you want than to equip it later on older 
bikes. Cheaper, too, as the seller never gets full price back out of 
upgrades.

Of course, if you are not too worried about looks, any way that you can 
fashion 2 bolt heads and a Givi pyramid will hold side bags, even if they 
have to be on plywood that is fastened to a bolt on the the back shocks. 
Everybody on here knows that I've been throwing a piece of Samsonite on the 
back of my Nighthawk for years. If it works, I like it.
