I just want to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Edgar, I'm 34, I live in Germantown, Maryland and I just became the proud owner of this '82 Nighthawk 450 with only 6,616 Miles. She's older than I :) . She was garaged most of her life and was bought 3 years ago by a gentleman that fixed everything that needed fixing, including professional carb work, new tires, new seals, AGM battery, etc. This is my first motorcycle and I bought this to learn on. I'm a heavy rider, so a 250cc was not going to carry my weight well on the highway, I'm sure this 450 will be up to the task. My MSF class is next month, can't wait! I paid $1650 for it and I think I got a great deal on it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I like to get familiar with the mechanics and electrical so I was researching the wiring diagram, it came with the Honda service manual and I found a wiring diagram (jpeg) for it that I color coded (I was bored at work); I saw a post about somebody had already done that and he said it was in the files section but I can't figure out where the file section is. If anybody can point me to the files section I would appreciate it. I'm happy to have found a forum dedicated to this. Looking forward to sharing in this community.
