So you're looking to do two pods on the end of the Y-tubes instead of the
usual 4 pods? If you're trying to recreate the air restriction of the
airbox why not just keep the airbox?

It doesn't answer your exact question but I can pass this along regarding
pods:

Just mount pods on extension tubes as far back as you can and let the tubes
