There ya go! At first, I suspected this might have been an upgrade of sorts. Larger pistons should translate to a more responsive front brake in theory but not if only on of them was replaced and may have made it worse because the system was not balanced. Any chance you have the old pads? I suspect the pads on the larger piston caliper would have been worn more as they may have been activating sooner.

Guess I could have looked more closely at the calipers because the size is cast into the caliper. 30mm on the right and 3mm on the left. Guess someone made the swap somewhere along the way. Did both master cylinders, lines and right side caliper. Was in the reassembly stage of the left caliper and after installing new seals i was about to push the new pistons into the caliper when they dropped in right past the seals. The new pistons are 30mm. The ones that came out of the caliper are 32mm. Immediately thought I ordered the wrong part but checked the fiche and part numbers, year, model of bike and everything is correct. Does anyone know if the correct size pistons on this bike are 32 or 30 mm? Its possible a previous owner (there have been at least a couple) may have installed a different caliper, but on only one side of the bike? Am I missing something?
