After having a closer look i found that canister, it's located underneath 
the storage tank for crankcase ventilation ( pic 1). Just the tubes that 
should be connected to the carbs are missing . But there's a german 50HP 
engine and carbs mounted actually on my bike, so no one is going to miss 
that stuff. Funnily the FO built in that Air control pipe 
(https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb650sc-nighthawk-1985-f-usa_model7228/partslist/E++03.html#results)
 
pos.22, when changing the engine.( pic2) . You've got to have a close look 
to the carbs to see the difference between standard and CA. It's just the 
small pipes , located beside the starter valves.( pic 3). I guess, if you 
just close those pipes, it's working like the standard carbs, only the 
throttle valves are different as the parts list says. The floatbowls of the 
CA type  are superseeded by the standard ones...
