Hi, I will try a recipe proposed on this site - http://v4musclebike.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13477
One part wintergreen oil, 3 parts 99% isopropyl alcohol. 99% is important since water in the 70% would make the rubber part swells more. (the rubber part will return to original size after a week) Let the rubber part(s) bath in the mixture 2, 3 days. As seen on picture, the 91-03 750 Nighthawk intake nozzles are made of rubber which is overmolded to a metal part. Since the rubber will swell I wonder if this will detach it from the metal. I might bath the rubber end only but this would create a transition from treated to non treated rubber and do not know what could be the consequence... I just ordered the wintergreen on amazon, might receive in june (free shipping). I will give feedback. I'd be glad to hear if someone had succes rejuvenating these intake nozzles. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
