Few years back I found my '91 750 Nighthawk lying on its left side on the side of the street, a vehicule had backed up and tilted it. I would put it in gear engine running but the bike would not move. I was ready to open it up when I first decided to yank the shifter by hand up and down turning the rear wheel by hand while the bike in its center stand. After maybe 10 or 20 yanks the rear wheel engaged. Never realy understood what happened inside but the problem was gone.
