I'm looking at getting some Air Pods for my bike as I start my rebuild process (took it all the way down to the frame, painting it now). I measured the dimension of the air intake side of the Carbs and they measure 55mm in diameter. The only air pods I have found close to that dimension are 54mm. (a little background on myself) I'm a Helicopter Mechanic by trade and while I have no doubt I could force the 54mm air pods on, I would rather not(my aviation training is hard to break when it comes to non aviation stuff, if its not the EXACT right part, it doesnt go on the plane). I'm wondering if anyone else has any experience with air pods and what dimension did you go with? I'm pretty sure 54mm air pods will be fine, I'm just looking for a little reassurance I guess.
