So I finally got out and tried putting on the soft hondaline bags. Had to
remove an aftermarket sissy bar/luggage rack to get the bags lying properly
across the seat. There’s a set of nylon ties at the back I tied around the
rear turn signal. In the front portion of the bags there’s a nylon loop on the
lower corner coming through a grommet that I figure is to loop around the
passenger foot peg. However, connected to this nylon web loop and passing
through a grommet in the top corner is a length of nylon cord with a metal ring
attached to the end and what appears to be some kind of plastic/geared friction
adjuster. Am I supposed to be passing the web loop through the ring before
attaching it to the peg? I’m a little lost since I don’t have any literature
on these bags. Perhaps someone else knows what the deal is (Jaybird)? Any
info would be helpful. I figured on a way to somewhat rig it but what to make
sure I’ve got it right. Thanks a lot.
I’d love to take a pic but my phones camera is down. Maybe I’ll use the wife’s
later
