Its not hard to do, you just have to persist. I forgot to mention, before touching the carbs you have to move the airbox back as far as possible. That means removing the two 10mm bolts holding the air breather cover in place. Maybe also removing the bolts holding the battery cover on since the bottom one anchors the battery box to the frame. I also push the plastic inner rear fender back against the rear tire. There is a snap in place part of that fender you can squeeze off the tube frame and so letting the inner fender go back. Remember this is the inner fender, not the main rear fender. I also undo the two bolts holding the regulator in place as this prevents the air box from moving back. The regulator is attached to the airbox. I just undo the bolts and let the regulator and bolts hang there. Then I go to work removing the cables, undoing the boot bolts and take to the carbs with a 1x2 to lever them out of the boots.
