So I just purchased a 1983 NH 650 that has sat for a few years. In the process of removing the carbs to clean them, the air boots pulled loose from the airbox. That is just as well because I needed to clean the airbox and epoxy a split seem. But know I am wondering how to reinstall the air boots. Do I need to use some type of adhesive around the circumference? Maybe something like Yamabond. Also the air boots have these U-shaped "hangers" attached to them (see pic). Anyone know what they are for?
