Well...I suppose you could call it that, but by definition, an air pump cannot cavitate. Now you may be getting an air bubble in that fuel line, but that seems really unlikely and defies simple physics. Unless, of course, there is a restriction like a second (or third, depending on what we count) fuel filter. Even then I 5hnk an air bubble pretty unlikely.
