Just got the bike. The pedal seems to need my foot to be uncomfortably close to the engine to operate the pedal. Pedal does not look bent. If it turns out that the pedal is fine and it is me who would like it further away from the engine can I safely bend it? I am told that if I do this with heating will it change the color of the pedal? Would it need re-chroming? Thanks.
