Following up on the Honda Magna broken choke plunger. I drilled the plunger
and screwed in a very small bolt and washer and it works fine, for now. I got
the carbs off and apart, cleaned them, replaced the air filter and put
everything back together. Getting those four carbs back in the boots is a pain.
There must be a better way than the way I did it (1X2s and screw drivers shoe
horning them in). The bike started at the first touch of the button and runs
great. My first ride on a V4 Magna, very smooth and comfortable. Now I would
like to sync the carbs. I have the dials and hoses which indicated they need
syncing. My question is, other than turning the bike upside down has anyone
found an easy way of adjusting the screws. I’ve ordered the Honda pilot screw
adjustment tool but it still looks like it’s going to be the job of a
contortionist and his assistant. Another question for a Magna owner, this one
doesn’t need the choke to start it. Anyone else with similar experience? Graham
