Hey there everyone. I have a 1983 Nighthawk 650 that I've been working on
since early this summer.

So far I've not had much maintenance to do as I picked up the bike with
relatively low miles (4700) and no mechanical issues to take care of
besides general deferred maintenance.

Oil change, brakes, fork seals and some chewed up wiring in the tail light
harness.

I've done a few mods also if anyone is interested in how they turned out
please ask. I have changed the headlight to an LED bulb, installed
Progressive fork springs and Progressive 430 Rear shocks.

However today I'm wondering after reading the service manual that Honda
advised it shouldn't be possible to pull the clutch lever all the way to
the grip if it is functioning correctly. Currently my bike has a clutch
lever that I can pull all the way to the grip and disengages the clutch
fairly close to the grip. Is this similar to other members 650sc?

I'm wondering if I need to work on the clutch slave or master cylinder as I
had changed and bled the fluid a few months ago.

If anyone else could describe whether this is normal or not clutch feel I'd
appreciate it. Thank you!
