Sorry for high-jacking this older thread but I'd like to add some thoughts 
not mentioned yet.

Beyond all sparks, gas and air issues - there are some more prerequisites 
to allow or block the starter turning the engine:
- neutral gear rectifier 
- gear switch not reporting back the correct gear through its desired lead
- clotch switch (you can start the engine with a pulled clotch even if the 
gear is NOT in neutral)
- starter relay (see previous comment by DNev) - if it clicks then it can 
be the internal starter magneto or the relay coil otherwise

So if the issue happens with a hot engine with the symptom where you cannot 
see the green neutral light nor start the engine anymore then I would check 
these things for any temperature related tenderness caused by aged 
fragility/edginess.
For example, put a strong hair dryer or hot air gun on them when cold and 
monitor with a multimeter how the resistance / diode flow behaves.

Sorry for not checking the wiring diagrams of your SevenFifty but it should 
be very similar to the RC13 650.
