Hello,

I am not a professional photographer, but I would say I am an enthusiast. I do have a set of lenses 85/1.4 AIS, 105/1.8 AIS 135/2 AFD in the telephoto range. I use them on an F100, and D80 (haven't used the F100 in almost half a year).

I once had an 180mm/2.8 AF (I think non-D), but I soon sold that, because the utility of the lens was not that big (I rarely used it on the F100; given that the DX digital has an crop factor of 1.6 this would give almost a viewing angle of 300mm (in 35mm terms), far too long to be useful.

Another thing to consider: the 135mm/2 weighs a ton, I don't dare imagine what the 200mm would be to lug around. On the DX camera I have this would work out to be a 180mm (35mm equivalent).

All the best
