When the D3 was released, I bought one. I found it difficult to move
from the F5 to the D1, and of course it was no better with the D1x. I
just had a hard time deciding what lens to grab, and often grabbed the
wrong one.
Now that I am shooting the D3, I find the same problem, but in
reverse. I am constantly grabbing a lens two wide. It isn't quite as
hard though.
Thankfully, I only bought one DX lens. I was DEPENDING on Nikon
coming out with full-frame.
I am absolutely loving the D3 though. Low noise, full frame, low
noise, good resolution and low noise. I wish I knew the D3x was going
to come out so quickly, but given both, the speed differences, the
noise differences, and the price differences, I may have gone with the
D3 anyway. OK, likely not.

I have the D700 and it is an outstanding camera.
I am using almost all of my Nikkor lenses the way they were meant to
be used :)
